Meet George
Palm Beach Couples & Family Counselor - Someone in Your Corner
Hello! I'm Dr. George Stoupas, licensed marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, and addiction specialist in West Palm Beach. Since 2008, I've helped hundreds of couples and families in South Florida make lasting changes in their lives. Whether it be communication problems, conflict, drug and alcohol use, stress, lack of intimacy, or some other relationship issue, I have been a dedicated therapist and advocate for folks from all walks of life. I genuinely love what I do.
I grew up right here in Palm Beach County, the son of a teacher and a restaurant owner. I graduated from the Alexander W. Dreyfoos Jr. School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, and spent my developmental years in South Florida in the woods, at the beach, and on the streets of downtown. While I've lived in different places for both school and adventure, I chose to plant roots here with my wife, daughter, son, and extended family. In my off-hours, I enjoy family hiking in local nature preserves, portrait painting, native plant gardening, and looking for hidden treasure at flea markets.
My life hasn't always been easy (it's life, after all), but the challenges I've faced help me appreciate what my clients go through in their own relationships. Together with my wife, I live in the ongoing experiment of a long-term marriage, tweaking and adjusting as we go. I'm also a dad and understand the joys and heartbreaks of parenting. I know how amazing (and challenging) families can be, so I've dedicated my clinical practice to helping others find their way through the darkness to discover fulfilling and secure relationships in their own lives.
You can read about my professional achievements below; however, I'm also quite proud of what's not listed - the trust my clients place in me and the many transformations I've supported along the way. Thank you for visiting, and please reach out if you have any questions; there's no fee or obligation for calling.
