Clinical Supervision & Education
By Your Side, Every Step of the Way
As a Qualified Supervisor (QS) under the Florida Department of Health's Board of Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, and Marriage and Family Therapy (491 Board) I provide individual and group clinical supervision towards licensure for registered mental health counselor interns. Upon graduation, interns must register with the Board and identify a clinical supervisor before accruing clinical hours and supervision. I will help you not only develop clinical skills and define yourself as a counselor; I'll also guide you through the documentation process and provide support every step of the way.
I am also a Qualified Professional according to Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) statutes and Florida Certification Board (FCB) guidelines. As a Master's Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP), I help new practitioners and students work towards entry-level addictions certifications and prepare them for the field.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor of human services - addiction studies at Palm Beach State College and adjunct instructor in the clinical mental health counseling program at Florida Atlantic University. I've authored book chapters and peer reviewed journal articles on a variety of topics, from couples counseling to spirituality and ethics in addiction. My extensive experience in counselor education at both undergraduate and graduate levels gives me insight into what trainees need to become competent and confident professionals.
If you want a collegial, knowledgable, and caring supervisor, I'm your guy. Contact me and we will develop a supervision plan together that helps you achieve your professional goals.
